Yashaswini finishes sixth

Yashaswini Singh Deswal qualified for the women’s air pistol final in the Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China, but had to settle for the sixth spot as she was pipped by 0.1 points by the eventual gold medallist Agata Nowak of Poland.

The results: Men: Air rifle: 1. Yang Haoran (Chn) 209.3 (629.4); 2. Hrachik Babayan (Arm) 204.3 (624.3); 3. Istvan Peni (Hun) 183.5 (624.2); 13. Prashant 606.0.

Women: 10m air pistol: 1. Agata Nowak (Pol) 196.9 (372); 2. Margarita Lomova (Rus) 194.4 (378); 3. Kim Minjung (Kor) 175.4 (375); 6. Yashaswini Singh Deswal 117.6 (377).
