Saina bows out of Indonesia Open

Saina Nehwal bowed out of the $750,000 Indonesia Open super series, going down to China’s world no. 1 Li Xuerui in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Saina, seeded eighth, lost 20-22, 15-21 to the Chinese shuttler in 44 minutes.

With this victory, the top-seeded reigning Olympic champion has extended her record against Saina to 7-2.
