Prabhu in final of Singapore junior squash

Navneeth Prabhu of India on Saturday made the U-13 boys final at the Singapore Junior Open Squash Championship.

According to a Squash Federation of India release, Navneeth defeated compatriot Neel Joshi 11-3 11-7 11-7 in the semifinals. Earlier, Navneet got the better of Benjamin Kon in the second round and also beat Malaysian Shaun Law and Andrik Lim.

Results: Semi Final: {1} Navneeth Prabhu (Ind) bt 5/8 Neel Joshi (Ind) 11-0, 11-7, 11-7, quarterfinals: {1} Navaneeth Prabhu (Ind) bt 5/8 Andrik Lim (Mas) – 11-8, 11-4, 11-5, 5/8 Neel Joshi (Ind) bt 3/4 Yin Hang Cheng (HK)- 11-6, 11-7, 11-4, 5/8 Kanhav Nanavati (Ind) lost to {2} Ishant Shah Atul Kumar (Mas): 11-13, 6-11, 4-11, {1} Samita Sivakumar (Ind) lost to 5/8 Sum Yuet Lee (HK): 5-11, 5-11, 3-11, 5/8 J S Krithica (Ind) lost to {2} Sehvetrraa Kumar (Mas)— 2-11, 5-11, 5-11 and Nikita Joshi (Ind) lost to 3/4 Lakeesha Rarere (Aus)— 6-11, 6-11, 7-11.
