The Louis Philippe Cup pro team golf will feature a new team, Jaypee Greens Greater Noida, in its second edition, which will be held at the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort from Feb. 13-16.
The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI)-sanctioned nine-team event, offering Rs. 1.2 crore as prize money, will showcase most of the well-known golfers of the country.

The competition will have two days of strokeplay competition from which the best four teams will qualify for the semifinals.
The semifinals and finals will be knockout contests.
The winning team will take home Rs. 36 lakh, while the runner-up will be richer by Rs. 24 lakh. The third-placed side will stand to gain Rs. 18 lakh.

‘Capable of winning’
Speaking at the launch of the event here on Tuesday, golfer Vikrant Chopra of Navratna Ahmedabad said his team might retain the crown which it had won in Bangalore last year.
“Even though other teams look quite strong, we are capable of winning the title again,” said Chopra.
Former India captain Kapil Dev, who is a co-owner of the Chandigarh team, suggested the players to enjoy the event in order to bring out their best.

Kolkata: Rahil Gangjee, Shankar Das and Chiragh Kumar.
Noida: Jeev Milkha Singh, Abhijit Chadha and Ashok Kumar.
