ISSF looking to get visas for Pakistanis

February 20, 2019 09:44 pm | Updated 09:44 pm IST - NEW DELHI

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has been dealing with the issue of the Pakistan shooters not getting a visa for the World Cup being staged here.

“The ISSF and the Organising Committee are taking all efforts to solve the problem and avoid discrimination of the Pakistan team,” said a statement from the ISSF.

While admitting that two Pakistan rapid fire shooters — Muhammad Khalil Akhtar and Ghulam Mustafa Bashir — have not been granted visas “due to the recent terrorist attacks in India”, the ISSF also issued a warning.
