Top seed Saina Nehwal lost 21-13, 21-12 to seventh seed Xuerui Li of China in the women's singles quarterfinals at the Thailand Open Grand Prix on Friday.

In the men's quarterfinals, P. Kashyap suffered a 21-18, 21-5 loss to China's Chen Long while Sourabh Verma fell 16-21, 21-16, 21-11 to third-seeded Korean Sung Hwan Park.
