Ghosal, Joshna win titles

Joshna Chinappa and Sourav Ghosal, who emergedchampions in the Maharashtra State open.

Sourav Ghosal smashed his way to 11-4, 11-6, 11-5 victory over Harinderpal Singh Sandhu in the final of the 38th Bombay Gymkhana Maharashtra State Open squash championships at the Bombay Gymkhana courts here on Saturday.

In the women’s final Joshna Chinappa made short work of Aishwarya Bhattacharya 11-1, 11-1, 11-3.

Women: Joshna Chinappa bt Aishwarya Bhattacharya 11-1, 11-1, 11-3.

Professionals: Rohit Kadam bt Sanjay Pawar 11-6, 11-8, 11-8.

Over-35: Rishad Pandole bt Karan Mirchandani 11-1, 11-4, 11-5.

Over-45: Ashish Kamat bt Darius Surti 11-3, 6-11, 9-11, 11-7, 11-3.

Over-55: Vaman Apte bt Kishan Lal 11-6, 11-8, 12-10.
