Indian swimmers continued to struggle in the 17th Asian Games in Incheon with Prathapan Nair failing to qualify for the men’s 50m backstroke finals on Monday.
Nair clocked 26.85 in the heats to finish a lowly sixth in the seven-strong field.
It was a second successive day of disappointment for Nair as he had finished seventh in the 100m backstroke heats on Sunday.
