Twenty probables have been chosen for the Asian table tennis championship to be held at Lucknow from November 16 to 22.
The final team consisting of five men and five women will be announced after the National-ranking championship (East Zone) at Siliguri in the second week of November, said Mr. Mukherjee.
The probables, along with Raj Mondal, Harmeet Desai, Kasturi Chakraborty and Ashlesha Bodas, will train at Zhengding (China) from October 11 to 27.

A 21-member India team for the English Open (October 28 to November 2) was also announced.
The Table Tennis Federation of India’s selection committee, comprising Kamlesh Mehta, Manjit Dua, Bhawani Mukherjee (National coach), Massimo Constantini (foreign coach), Indu Puri (Government Observer), Suresh Gawade (TTFI Observer) and Dhan Raj Choudhary (TTFI Secretary), met at Gandhidham (Gujarat) on Sunday to name the probables.
The probables: Men: Sharath Kamal, Subhajit Saha, Soumyadeep Roy, Saurav Chakraborty, Zubin Kumar, Anirban Nandi, A. Amal Raj, Devesh Karia, Sanil Shetty and Soumyajeet Ghosh.

Women: K. Shamini, Mouma Das, Poulomi Ghatak, Madhurika Patkar, Pooja Sahashrabuddhe, Divya Deshpande, Neha Agarwal, Mamta Prabu, A. V. Nivedita, Ankita Das.
