IOC Executive Board satisfied

The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at its meeting in Lausanne on Wednesday, noted the outcome of the meeting that took place between Union Sports Ministry officials and representatives of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the IOC in Lausanne on June 18 and expressed its satisfaction.

It noted that the NOC in India and the Olympic Movement in the country would implement the basic principles of good governances and that the Government would fully respect the autonomy of the Olympic Movement in India.

Regarding the suspended NOC of Kuwait, the EB decided to allow that the country's competitors under the Olympic flag in the Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore in August. Kuwait would remain under suspension until the issue with government authorities was resolved.
