P. Harikrishna moved to a career-best world No. 14 in the latest ranking list released by world chess governing body FIDE on Friday. He moved five places up from the last list.
He is only the second Indian to break into the world’s top 20; the first one, Viswanathan Anand, dropped five slots down to No. 8, though.
World champion Magnus Carlsen of Norway continues to be the No. 1, while Russia’s veteran Vladimir Kramnik is ranked second.
