No stopping Jagan Kumar

SUPER SHOW: Jagan Kumar claimed the Super Sport Indian (165cc) class title by producing yet another dominating ride on Saturday.

Jagan Kumar of TVS Racing produced yet another commanding performance to seal the premium Super Sport Indian (165cc) class title on the penultimate day of the fifth and final round of the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National motorcycle racing championship at the MMRT track, Sriperumbudur, on Saturday.

With just one more race on Sunday and a maximum of 25 points available, 28-year-old Jagan, who registered his fourth win from nine starts, took his tally to 166, well beyond the reach of his nearest rival and teammate Kannan Subramaniam (122).

Spaniard Ami van Poederooijen (Rockstar Racing) clinched the Super Sport Indian 300-400cc, claiming his sixth win in nine races.

Anthony Peter (Performance Racing) despite finishing behind Bengaluru’s R.L. Yashas in the concluding Stock 165cc race earned sufficient points to win the title ahead of Anish Shetty.
