MCC ‘A’ triumphs

Madras Cricket Club (MCC) ‘A’ won the V.P. Thirumurthy Memorial inter-club squash tournament after it beat MCC ‘B’ 4-1 in the final. Cosmopolitan Club ‘A’ finished third after it overcame Madras Race Club (MRC) 3-2.

The results:MCC ‘A’ bt MCC ‘B’ 4-1 (Open Singles: Bharat Swarup bt Immad 2-0; Open Doubles: Srivatsan and Ranjoth Singh Aneja bt Armaan and Pradyumna 2-1, Hemant Mehta and Akshay lost to Badri and Immad 1-2; Veteran Singles: Srivatsan bt Lakshman 2-0; Veteran Doubles: S.L. Rajiv Reddy and Cyrus Poncha bt Lakshman and Arun Surendra 2-0).

For 3rd and 4th place:

MRC lost to Cosmopolitan Club ‘A’ 2-3 (Open Singles: Aditya lost to Prithvi 0-2; Open Doubles: Aditya and Aparajitha bt Prithvi and Imran 2-1, Natarajan and Pranay lost to Girish and Vishal 1-2; Veteran Singles: Richard bt Srikanth 2-0; Veteran Doubles: Hari and Ganapathy lost to Ramesh and Imthiaz 1-2).
