Malaysia, Egypt and Myanmar emerge champions

On top: The Malaysia men’s and Russian women’s teams, winners of the Division 1 title.

Malaysia, Egypt and Myanmar emerged the champions of divisions 1, 2 and 3 in the male category of the Special Olympics International football championship at the Nehru stadium here on Tuesday.

Russia and Indonesia won titles in divisions 1 and 2 in the women’s section.

The winners: Men: Div. 1: 1. Malaysia; 2. Korea; 3. Bharat-1.

Div. 2: 1. Egypt; 2. Austria; 3. Maldives. Div. 3: 1. Myanmar; 2. Indonesia; 3. Bharat-2. Women: Div. 1: 1. Russia; 2. The Philippines; 3. Bangladesh; Div. 2: 1. Indonesia; 2. UAE; 3. Malaysia.
