At a time when India has decided not to feature in a pink-ball Test for at least one more year, Quinton de Kock has raised concerns over day-night Tests.

“There are still some rough edges that need to be made smooth,” said de Kock.

“I think it’s a good concept, but there are a couple of things that can make it a lot better. At certain times during the twilight period of play, it’s not the same as a red ball,” he said here on Thursday.

The left-handed batsman was speaking at the launch of Spintechs, a mat to help batsmen finetune their skills against spin bowling.

de Kock was all praise for India’s bowling arsenal.

“When they came to South Africa, they were not very well known. We struggled to pick Kuldeep [Yadav] in ODIs. He was bowling so slow we just didn’t know what to do,” said de Kock.
