Chasing 182 to win on a good batting pitch which was a bit two-paced, Royal Challengers Bangalore got a decent start but once the openers departed, they struggled to score barring skipper Kohli.
However, he ran out of partners which included his wrong call that cost Bangalore the wicket of AB de Villiers.
Nehra was the standout bowler once again with a tremendous four-wicket haul that ripped apart Bangalore at different stages of the match. Rest of the bowlers chipped in enough to ensure that Chennai romped home comfortably. The win means that Chennai have bounced back well after the defeat to Rajasthan. Meanwhile, Bangalore continue to be winless at home this season and are languishing at the bottom of the table.

Chennai Super Kings lost Brendon McCullum early in the innings but Dwayne Smith and Suresh Raina were in ominous touch as both tore into the Bangalore attack with some splendid strokes.
At one stage it seemed like Chennai would get over 200 runs but once the duo departed, wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals with only Faf du Plessis making a cameo that pushed Chennai past the 180-run mark. Mitchell Starc, making his return to the side, bowled very tight but it was Yuzvendra Chahal who turned the game with three huge wickets despite being expensive.
