Chasing 191 to win, Mumbai Indians got a decent start through Lendl Simmons and Parthiv Patel. But once they departed, they couldn't quite force the pace despite cameos from Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu as the asking rate climbed steeply.

Delhi were brilliant in the field and it was the leg-spinners Imran Tahir and Amit Mishra who turned the game on its head with quality spells of bowling.

Mumbai were never really let off the hook at any stage and in the end they fell well short of the target. So, with this win Delhi break their nine-match losing streak at the Kotla.

Iyer was lethal in his approach and constructed his innings at a good pace. He fell in the 80s.

Duminy continued to make merry while Mathews came in and played a fantastic cameo.
