In March, the BCCI and Oppo announced the team sponsorship agreement for five years. The Chinese company made successful bid offer of Rs. 1080 crore; Rs. 4.61 crore for a bilateral international and Rs. 1.56 crore for an ICC event match.

The women’s team, now in South Africa for a quadrangular event, will wear the new jersey. The men’s team will use it at the Champions Trophy in England.

Johri said: “We are happy to be here on behalf of the BCCI family. I also welcome Oppo to the cricket family. The Indian team is the world’s No. 1 cricket team and there is no better partnership than sponsoring the Indian team.

“It shows their commitment to cricket on the whole and to India in particular. This partnership is a perfect marriage for two really great platforms.’’
