West Indies bowler Tino Best, centre, celebrates with teammates after taking the wicket of Aaron Finch during their one-day international match against Australia in Melbourne, on Sunday.

Adam Voges posted his maiden one-day international century as Australia recovered from a bad start to reach 274-5 batting first against the West Indies on Sunday in the fifth and final one-day international.

Australia lost its captain, Shane Watson, in the first ball of the match and had lost both openers with only two runs on the board as Tino Best produced an explosive opening spell. At the midpoint of its innings, the home side was still only 88-4.

But Voges rallied the Australians, surpassing his previous-highest one-day international score of 80 and finishing 112 not out from only 97 balls with 10 fours and a six.
