Australia beats West Indies by three wickets

Australia defeated the West Indies by three wickets on the fifth and final day of the opening cricket Test on Wednesday at Kensington Oval. The visitors lead the three-match series 1-0.

West Indies First Innings 449-9 declared off 153 overs (Shivnarine Chanderpaul 103 not out, Kirk Edwards 61; David Warner 2-45, Ryan Harris 2-83).

Australia First Innings 406-9 declared off 145 overs (Michael Clarke 73, Ryan Harris 68 not out, Michael Hussey 48; Kemar Roach 3-72, Darren Sammy 2-65).

West Indies Second Innings 148 all out (Darren Bravo 32, Kemar Roach 25; Ben Hilfenhaus 4-27, Ryan Harris 3-31).

Australia Second Innings 192-7 off 47 overs (Shane Watson 52, Ed Cowan 34; Narsingh Deonarine 4-53, Kemar Roach 2-45, Darren Sammy 1-27).
