Santhakumaran Sreesanth has tested positive for swine flu. The Indian paceman, down with fever for the last four days, missed the first India-Sri Lanka Twenty20 international in Nagpur on Wednesday.
G.S. Walia, Joint Secretary, Punjab Cricket Association, said here on Friday night, "Sreesanth was admitted at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, on December 10 at 11.30 pm and was seen by the hospital physician Dr.
Vikas Bhutani prior to admission.

Since he had persistent symptoms of cough, fever and body-ache, his throat swab was sent for H1N1 testing.
The report came this evening and was positive. He has been put on Tamiflu medications since.”
Mr. Walia added, “Sreesanth will remain admitted in the hospital for a day or two. He is recovering well and all his vital parameters are normal.”

Sreesanth, coming back to international cricket, played a crucial role in India's Test series triumph over Sri Lanka.
Earlier in the day, India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni had ruled him out of the second Twenty20 international here on Saturday.
