Usain Bolt said he may retire from sprint after the 2012 Olympics and switch to other disciplines such as the long jump.

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt says he may switch to other disciplines such as the long jump after the 2012 Olympic Games.

Bolt said he thinks fans will tire of him if he wins the sprints in London in 2012 and he wants to try new disciplines.

The triple Olympic gold medallist told reporters in Lausanne that he is recovering well from a strained Achilles tendon.

Bolt decided earlier this week to run the 100-metre race at Thursday’s Athletissima meet instead of the 200 metres to avoid aggravating the injury.
