CHENNAI : 17/09/2008 : Rishikesh

Loka Kshema Seva Samiti, led by Sri Sarma Sastrigal, is busy organising a visit to Rishikesh, where a group of ghanapadigal and Vaidikas will assemble for Sampoorna Yajur Veda Parayanam. Recital of Thevaram and Tiruvachagam are on the cards too. A Maharudra Yagna and annadanam will complete the agenda for May 12 and 13. The cost is ₹15 lakhs, to raise which the Trust depends on philanthropists and devotees.

“The camp that was conducted in 2016 at Pushkar, Rajasthan, was a huge success. It was a divine atmosphere close to the temple of Brahma and Saraswati.

The fulfilment it gave was the inspiration to embark on another spiritual outing and what better venue than the banks of the Ganges,” asks Sri Sarma Sastrigal, who is engaged in activities propagating Sanatana Dharma, with human welfare and peace as the main objectives.

“Around 200 people are participating in the camp, over a hundred of them women, who will chant Soundarya Lahari, Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam and so on. Persons well-versed in Panniru Tirumurai, Tamil agama, have been identified,” explains Sri Sarma Sastrigal.
