He moved the Madurai bench a day after the Kottar police registered a case against him in connection with the Nagercoil scuffle incident.

DMDK leader Vijayakanth on Friday moved the Madras High Court bench in Madurai seeking anticipatory bail, apprehending arrest in a case booked against him in connection with the scuffle with a public prosecutor in Nagercoil last week.

The actor-turned-politician moved the court a day after the Kottar police in Kanyakumar district registered a case against him in connection with the July 11 incident.

On July four, the Madras High Court had disposed of an anticipatory bail filed by Vijayakanth after the Government advocate informed the court that no case had been booked against the actor in connection with the Nagercoil incident, for which he was seeking bail.
