Two killed, 28 injured in mishaps in Jammu and Kashmir

Two persons were killed and 28 others injured in separate accidents in Jammu and Kashmir today, police said.

Mohammad Saiyan was killed after he slipped from a hillock while collecting firewood in Themdeyan Ibkote forest, 120 kms from here in Kupwara district.

In another incident, Mohammad Jamal Gojri died after being hit by a load carrier near his house at Hyhama in Kupwara, police said.

At least 15 passengers were injured when a mini bus, on way from Dangiwacha to Kangoosa, overturned near Chanam crossing in Baramulla, 55 kms from here.

12 passengers were injured when a mini bus collided with a car in Amargarh area of Sopore in Baramulla district, police said.

In yet another road accident, a motorcyclist identified as Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh was seriously injured when his vehicle collided with a truck at Pampore, 16 kms from here in Pulwama district.
