Gujarat varsity puts off exams

The Gujarat University postponed all the examinations scheduled for Saturday in view of the World Cup final in Mumbai on Saturday.

Vice-Chancellor Parimal Trivedi said on Friday that the decision was taken considering the “mass sentiment.”

This will provide relief to over 87,000 students of the university, including students of colleges affiliated to it in different parts of the State.

Initially, the university considered re-scheduling the examinations, slated for the afternoon session, but later decided to provide relief to the students scheduled to appear for examinations in the morning also.
