11 fresh cases of swine flu reported in Coimbatore

Eleven cases of swine flu have been reported in the city over the last couple of days, hospital sources said.

The sources said 20 persons, including 12 students, had come to the hospital with swine flu symptoms and the swab tests of seven students and four persons confirmed their H1N1 status.

Of this, six persons had been quarantined in the hospital and the remaining were kept in house quarantine, they said.

Four persons, including two girl students, with flu symptoms were admitted to the hospital this morning, the sources said.

Following this, a team of doctors had examined other students in a school in the city, where a girl student tested positive for swine flu, the sources said.
