There was another twist in the drama involving the former Karnataka Chief Minister, B.S. Yeddyurappa, on Wednesday morning when he was taken to the Bangalore Central Prison at Parappana Agrahara from Victoria Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
Sources in the hospital said that Mr. Yeddyurappa was discharged against medical advice around 10.30 a.m. after he insisted that he be sent back to the prison. He was taken away in an ambulance.
Mr. Yeddyurappa has been placed in cell number 5 of the Special Security Block, adjacent to the cells housing the former Minister, S.N. Krishnaiah Setty, and former Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu's son Katta Jagadish.

Earlier in the day, Housing Minister V. Sommanna, after visiting the former Chief Minister in the hospital, told journalists that Mr. Yeddyurappa had decided to go back to prison after he was “pained” by media reports that suggested he was citing medical reasons to avoid jail.
With Mr. Yeddyurappa's bail petition scheduled to come up for hearing in the High Court on Thursday, informed sources told The Hindu that he was wary of opposition counsel targeting his prolonged stay in the hospital to get the court to deny him bail.
“He [Mr. Yeddyurappa] refused to take soda mint tablets on Tuesday night. On Wednesday, when the duty doctors went on rounds around 8 a.m., he refused examination and treatment, insisting that he be sent back to prison,” said O.S. Siddappa, Director and Dean of Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute.

Eventually, the team of doctors discharged the former Chief Minister.
