What is Centre doing: Mamata

July 07, 2013 11:59 pm | Updated November 27, 2021 06:53 pm IST - KOLKATA:

Adding a new twist to the recent acts of violence in the country, including the bomb blasts at Bodh Gaya in Bihar earlier in the day, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee wondered here on Sunday if such acts were a “game plan” before the Lok Sabha elections to “finish” regional parties which were not dependant on the United Progressive Alliance (UPA).

“What is our Central government doing? What about Central agencies, who usually interfere in the State business, but do not take care of safety and security of our people and country?” Ms. Banerjee posted on a social networking site, expressing shock over the bomb blasts.

“Is it a game plan, before Lok Sabha election to disturb States, regional parties and also to plan to murder some political leaders, so that nobody can raise the voice of people in future? Or is it a blame game to avoid responsibility and to finish the regional political parties who are not dependent on the UPA,” she asked.
