Separatist leaders from Kashmir on Tuesday warned that the Narendra Modi government’s hardline strategy towards the Kashmir issue could push the Valley back into violence. “[The issue] cannot just be wished away by cancelling talks or isolating the pro-freedom leadership,” Mirwaiz Umar Farooq told The Hindu .
