UN owes India $54.60 million for peacekeeping operations

The United Nations owes $54.60 million to India for its peacekeeping operations, the government said on Monday.

In a written response to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State in the Defence Ministry Subhash Bhamre said the reimbursements due on on-going missions is $41.93 million and $12.67 million in case of closed missions.

India is an active participant in several UN peace- keeping missions.
