A series of workshops to address sexual violence against children, supported by experts from the U.K., will be held in Chennai, Bengaluru and New Delhi from October 25 to November 2. U.K.-based child abuse prevention expert Donald Findlater is the lead facilitator for the workshops organised by Tulir-Centre for the Prevention and Healing of Child Sexual Abuse, Chennai; Butterflies, New Delhi and Enfold Proactive Health Trust India — along with the British High Commission in India.

A webinar on ‘Addressing Youth-Perpetrated Sexual Violence’ will be held by Tulir on Wednesday, said a British High Commission press release. On October 26, a discussion will be held in Bengaluru on ‘Changing aspects of sexual violence: Focus on internet, profile of online predators, safety measures, ‘institutional abuse inquiry’. The next day the programme will be held in New Delhi on ‘Promoting positive pathways to prevent young people who exhibit harmful sexual behaviour’.

In another release, Tulir said it would conduct a series of workshops, ‘Connecting the Dots’, which renders the abstract notions of prevention and healing into a blueprint for action. The workshop, supported by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, U.K., will be held in Chennai from October 30 to November 2. Interested persons can contact 044-26618026 or email preventcsa@gmail.com
