Wants government aid like Golla and Kuruma communities

Making a point: Yerukala Sangham representatives submitting a memorandum on their demands to MP K. Kavitha in Nizamabad on Wednesday.

Telangana Yerukala (Girijana) Hakkula Ikya Porata Sadana Samithi has urged Member of Parliament K. Kavitha to use her good offices to get loans sanctioned on 95% subsidy to the eligible Yerukala households for pig rearing.

In a memorandum submitted to her, here on Wednesday, Telangana Yerukala Hakkula Ikya Porata Sadana Samithi president Koneru Saikumar said as per the guidelines announced by the Animal Husbandry Director, on March 10 people belonging to the Yerukala community formed 15 cooperative societies in Nizamabad and 10 in Kamareddy districts to get loans.

He appealed to the MP to bring the demands of his community to the notice of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and ensure early distribution of loan amounts. If the Yerukala people were encouraged like Golla Kurumas by sanctioning loans for the modern piggery they would get financial strength.
