BJP is the “real alternative” to the ruling TRS in Telangana and it will be taking on the party on the development issues continuously without any respite, said national general secretary P. Muralidhar Rao on Tuesday.
At a press conferance, he said the recently-passed Telangana Munilipalities Act showed the lack of commitment of the TRS government towards democracy and observed that the Act would not stand legal scrutiny. Governor E S L Narasimhan too got some amendments incorporated, he pointed out.
Mr. Rao, who celebrated the party forming the government in Karnataka with fellow leaders and partymen at the state office earlier, was sure of the BJP providing a stable government in Karnataka and put development back on track as the coalition government was ‘non-functional’.

He claimed that many Opposition MLAs fed up with the politics of the two parties want to join the BJP as they “want a stable government working for development”.
