Candidates of the Telangana State Residential Junior Colleges- Common Entrance Examination (TSRJC-CET)-2015 had a tough time in reaching their examination centres on Sunday due the RTC staff strike. Across the district about 8,000 students attended the CET conducted at 34 centres. Due to non-availability of bus services, the students arrived on auto and bikes to examination centres. Some of them could not reach the centre in time. Many students were forced to pay double the fare to auto drivers. Meanwhile, the RTC staff continued their strike for fifth consecutive day in the district. Though the management tried to rope in temporary staff to operate at least some services, there were not successful in their efforts. At many places the protesting staff obstructed the temporary staff from taking out the buses.
Wife of State Congress president N.Uttam Kumar Reddy and Kodad MLA N. Padmavathi extended her support to the RTC staff. Stating that the demands of staff were justified, she demanded the management solve the issues of employees.
