The Telangana government has constituted a committee to upgrade the bandwidth of the Telangana SWAN (State Wide Area Network) for improving the quality and speed of digital communication. According to officials, the IT Secretary will be its chairman and Assistant Secretary in the Finance Department, representative from the Departments of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY), representative from bandwidth service provider – BSNL and Director (Communications) in the IT Department will be its members. The committee will meet as and when required.
