TRS leaders campaign for MLC aspirant

TRS has roped in once again representatives of all associations - lecturers, advocates, employees and graduates urging them to ensure victory in ensuing MLC elections to the Graduates’ Constituency on March 22.

At a meeting held in Hanamkonda on Sunday, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, Minister A. Chandulal, party president T. Ravinder Rao, and Bar Association president Gudimalla Ravi Kumar said it was the time for the Telangana people to express their solidarity with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who fought and achieved separate statehood to Telangana region.

Representatives of each association were invited onto the dais and urged to appeal to their members to support TRS party nominee Palla Rajeswar Reddy in the election.

The TRS leaders said Mr Rajeswar Reddy was associated with the separate Telangana movement and went to jail. He faced several cases for the cause. He was running several educational institutions providing employment to about 1,500 people and serving thousands of students in Telangana districts.

Mr. Rajeswar Reddy said those who never took part in separate Telangana movement were now seeking votes.

TDP and BJP failed to take a decision on the separate Telangana issue, but now claiming to have played a great role. Former Deputy Chief Minister T. Rajaiah, MLAs K. Surekha, D.S. Redya Naik and B. Shankar Naik, senior leader K. Rajaiah Yadav, M. Yadava Reddy, Puli Sarangapani and others were present.
