District Congress Committee has expelled nine party leaders, including a former municipal councillor, on charges of resorting to anti-party activities and trying to weaken the organisation.
According to party sources, the decision has been taken as per the directions of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president.
Meanwhile, around ten middle and lower rung leaders of the Congress party, including three former municipal councillors, reportedly joined TRS at a meeting held at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad on Thursday.
