TDP activists protest against Revanth Reddy’s arrest

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists staged a rasta roko across the district protesting the arrest of their legislature Revanth Reddy on the charge of bribing nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson.

Blocking the Addanki-Narketpally road near Nalgonda, party leader Kancharla Bhupal Reddy demanded the State government to immediately lift all the cases filed against Mr. Revanth.

The sit-in protest caused a traffic jam on the State highway.

At Choutuppal, the TDP leaders burnt an effigy of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. In Suryapet, the party activists have staged rasta roko on NH-65 blocking the traffic.

Similar, kind of protests were organised in Munugode, Deverakonda, Kodad, Huzurnagar, Miryalaguda, Bhongir and other places.

At Dubbak, they burnt an effigy of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and held dharna in front of the bus stand.

They alleged that government conspired to arrest Mr. Revanth Reddy and trapped him.

At Patancheru, workers led by party’s district unit leader Sashikala Yadava Reddy, held dharna and rasta roko.
