Taking cue from Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s ambitious programme of Telangana water grid scheme to provide tap connections to all households in the State, Karimnagar municipal corporation went a step ahead and started distributing water tap
connections to the below poverty line people from Thursday onwards.
The programme was formally launched by Mayor S Ravinder Singh in Kisannagar locality by giving connections to 40 beneficiaries at a cost of Rs. 200 each only. Talking to

Stating that they had identified around 12,000 houses without , he said that they would achieve hundred per cent tap connections through this mela. He said that the consumer was saving around Rs 3,500 per tap connections and instantly getting water tap to his house.
