‘Some people are against finding out-of- the-court solution’

Senior BJP leader and Virat Hindustan Sangam founder-president Subramanian Swamy has exuded confidence that much-awaited Ram temple at Ayodhya would become a reality in 2018 after the court commences hearing on the issue after the vacation.

Addressing a meeting “How to build Ram Mandir n Ayodhya Legally” organised by the Virat Hindustan Sangam here on Sunday, he said he would approach the court in July seeking daily hearing on his petition seeking protection of his right to pray, a fundamental right.

“I have filed the petition seeking protection of my fundamental right. Once the court approves my plea, the issue will be settled in probably four months, by Diwali,” he said.

He said though the court favoured an out-of-the-court solution to the case, efforts in that direction did not yield results as a section of people are against finding out-of- the-court solution. Dr. Swamy was hopeful that once the hearing in the court is completed, the remaining formalities would not take much longer beyond April next year as the BJP would secure majority in Rajya Sabha too.

Pontiff Swami Parpoornananda too was confident that the work on the temple would commence next year as efforts had been intensified to find an amicable solution to the long cherished dream of the people. Muslims, according to him, are unlikely to oppose the construction of the temple as they too are vexed by the vote bank politics of different political parties for long.
