The people of Warangal are prepared to give a shock to the ruling TRS in the ensuing Parliament byelection, said BJP State president G. Kishan Reddy.
That people had elected a BJP candidate in MLC elections was testimony to the growing patronage of BJP and declining popularity of TRS party.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr. Kishan Reddy accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of failing to deliver his promises. The underground drainage to Warangal city, two-bedroom housing and others remained on paper till date. The Chief Minister claimed he would implement every promise, but failed to deliver. The contract and outsourcing employees still wait for regularisation of services while employees of many departments are agitating. The farmers failed to get any assurance from the State government. “The Chief Minister rarely comes to the Secretariat and is never accessible to common visitors. The governance lost track in the newly formed Telangana State ,” Mr Kishan Reddy said.

If the NDA candidate wins the Warangal byelection, the State and Warangal district in particular will witness enormous development. The ruling BJP has already sanctioned many projects to the district like smart city, Hriday and Amrut. Huge funds were allocated for national highway and development of other roads. “Though the BJP government has sanctioned many projects like AIMS, textile park, horticulture university among others, the State government failed to identify land so far,” he said. Later in the day, he addressed a booth-level workers’ meeting in the town along with Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya.
