It is now 25 years since the earliest of Ram Gopal Varma’s hit films, Shiva was released in the year 1989. At a celebration here on Tuesday to remember the trendsetter, its star Akkineni Nagarjuna said a digitally restored and re-mastered version was ready to be screened on October 17 (Friday).
Mr. Nagarjuna said they were trying to release the digitally upgraded version in about a 100 screens and that the details would be known soon. The digital work on the film took about a year and was done in Mumbai with focus on enhancing the existing colour and sound.
