SBI funds building of toilets

State Bank of India, Hyderabad circle, donated Rs.2.19 crore towards construction of 120 toilets in 53 Government schools in Adilabad district under the ‘Swachh Vidyalaya’ programme. The construction will be through Wockhardt Foundation within three months. C.R. Sasikumar, deputy managing director, also stated that two years of maintenance work too has been factored in.

The bank has also donated Rs.12 lakh to ‘Aim for Seva’, for their student home in Utnur of Adilabad besides also donating Rs.5.18 crore for medical equipment, ambulances, school buses, water purifiers, fans, computers, etc. to various Government schools and voluntary agencies, a press release said.
