Root out BJP to protect secular fabric of country: Tammineni

May 15, 2018 11:44 pm | Updated 11:44 pm IST - KHAMMAM

It is imperative to trounce the BJP and root out its “divisive politics” to protect the secular fabric of the country, said Bahujana Left Front (BLF) State convener and CPI (M) State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram.

This task can be accomplished by a cohesive mass movement involving all the Bahujan, Left and democratic forces to defeat the fascist forces which are bent upon bringing back “Manuvaad” as part of a nefarious agenda in the country, he said. Addressing the BLF Parliamentary constituency level meeting here on Tuesday, Mr Veerabhadram alleged that the BJP was pursuing divisive politics with the sole aim of garnering votes and clinging on to power.

The need of the hour is to follow a coherent strategy by uniting the Bahujan, Left and all progressive forces to counter the fascist forces and protect Dalits, minorities and the marginalised groups besides empowering these underprivileged sections. He called upon the constituent organisations of the BLF to gear up to undertake three-day protests in front of the Collectorates across the State against the TRS government’s alleged failure to deliver on its promises as part of a State-wide stir from June 24 to 26. CPI (M) district committee secretary N Nageswara Rao presided over the meeting.
