Tapp Me, a Gurugram-based startup that provides repair and maintanence services to corporates and households, is preparing to expand its operations into Hyderabad in the coming days.

The startup, which functions on a profit-sharing model by bringing together skilled technicians who lack the necessary market visibility and consumers who require their services, already has established presence in Gurugram, Patna, Jaipur and Visakhapatnam. It provides services ranging from electricians, plumbers, carpenters to skilled engineers for larger projects such as office renovations, home improvement and pest control.

The move to expand its services to Hyderabad is the first step in the company’s aim to increase its scope form city-based service to state-wide service with Telangana and Andhra Pradesh set to first receive this treatment. At present, the company has over 250 skilled technicians at its disposal but co-founder Snehanshu Gandhi believes they will have to recruit around 500 service providers within Hyderabad to be able to promptly cater to the city’s requirements. Operations in Hyderabad are expected to grow out of their clientele from Visakhapatnam with focus on corporate clients at first before rolling out to the general public in the near future.

“We are a consumer conscious organization and our constant endeavour is to strive for excellence by providing a smoother way to practice office and home improvement,” said Mr Gandhi. He highlighted his company’s one-stop solution for maintenance services as well as skill development and quality assurance of technicians as the key to their prior success which they hope to replicate in Hyderabad.

Following Hyderabad, Tapp Me aims to spread its reach to Vijayawada, Chandigarh, Raipur and Ahmedabad among other cities by 2018.
