Quality houses are being constructed

Will provide water to district, says Harish

Finance Minister T. Harish Rao said that quality is being ensured in the double bedroom houses being constructed for the poor in the State. Further, the government is providing infrastructure facilities on par with urban areas to the residents of these colonies.

Addressing a gathering of beneficiaries after handing over some 150 double bedroom houses at Singur in Pulkal mandal along with MLA Ch. Kranthi Kiran on Friday, Mr. Harish Rao said that the houses were built at a total cost of ₹ 7.56 crore in G plus two model and an amount of ₹ 1.86 crore was spent on providing infrastructure facilities.

The blocks were named after leaders like Kaloji Narayanan Rao, Prof. Jayashankar, Vidyasagar Rao and Chakali Ailamma. Mr. Harish Rao also participated in several development programmes in the area.

Later speaking to reporters, the Minister said that alternative arrangements were being made to supply water to the district as there was only 1.9 tmcft water in Singur.

“Water from Kaleswaram would be brought to Singur in the next two years. We will provide irrigation and drinking water to Andol, Zaheerabad and Sangareddy,” said Mr. Harish Rao.
