June 07, 2015 05:51 pm | Updated 05:51 pm IST - ADILABAD:

Public representatives of Narnoor mandal, all belonging to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), on Sunday, staged a protest during the valedictory of first State formation anniversary celebrations at the mandal headquarters village. They staged a dharna at the venue protesting against officials who failed to display the image of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao.

The valedictory took place on the premises of the Mandal Parishad Development Officer without much fanfare. Officials did not put up a flex poster with the image of the Chief Minister as needed to be done, according to the protesting public representatives.

After a brief argument with officials, Narnoor Mandal Parishad President Rathod Govind Naik, Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency member Rupwanti Gnanoba Pushkar, sarpanch Gajanand Naik, Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency member Ade Suresh, TRS mandal unit party president Mesram Hanmanth Rao and others staged a sit-in in front of the makeshit dais.
