Police should upgrade skills to tackle crime: SP

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Ambar Kishor Jha exhorted the police personnel to upgrade their skills and meet the modern day challenges.

Inaugurating a one-day training on cyber crimes here on Saturday, he said those with criminal intentions always look for different ways and modern social media such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and others have come in handy for the miscreants. To crack the crimes, the police too need to keep themselves abreast with the technology. “We will become outdated if we do not change ourselves and update our techniques of investigation into crimes. I request all the police personnel to make use of this training session and also put in extra effort to learn more,” he said. Additional SP John Wesley said the police in Warangal always gained upper hand over the criminals and anti-social elements. Now they should brace up for another challenge and this time, from the cyber criminals. The one-day training was organised by the State Intelligence wing of the Police Department.

ACP Shobhan Kumar, Rural Crime Record Bureau inspector Balaji, State intelligence officer Ranjith Kumar and Ramesh and the district IT core team members were present.
