Police arrest four hired killers

Several weapons, including a revolver, and Rs.1.56 lakh in cash was recovered from them

Police have arrested four hired killers at Nagarjunasagar crossroads in Miryalaguda and seized one revolver, two cars, two weapons, one steel rod, two chilli powder packets, Rs.1.56 lakh cash and seven mobile phones from them.

The accused have been identified as B. Vijay Kumar, resident of Boduppal, Polasa Mahendar Reddy, native of Ghatkesar, Kasarla Raju, native of Jeedimetla and Guntuka Ramesh, native of Warangal district.

Police have also nabbed three people N.Papi Reddy, Nookala Madhukar Reddy and Utkuri Sandeep Reddy who hired these killers to eliminate their common enemy and Miryalaguda businessman Gopal Reddy.

Superintendent of Police T. Prabhakar Rao told reporters that accused Vijay Kumar had worked under Patolla Goverdhan Reddy, Maddelacheruvu Suri and Bhanu Kiran in the past and was involved in many criminal activities. The remaining three were also involved in various criminal activities. He said the killers had struck a deal for Rs.10 lakh to eliminate Gopal Reddy.

Mr.Rao appreciated Central Crime Station DSP V.Sunitha Mohan and Miryalaguda One-Town Inspector D.Bikshapathi and their teams for nabbing the accused.
